The Bakes

All our cakes are baked from scratch in our own kitchen, using only the freshest, finest ingredients we can source. We believe that not only should your cake look fabulous, it should taste amazing as well.

Our standard cake comprises of 3 layers of sponge and 2 layers of buttercream. It is then coated in either a complementing buttercream or an indulgent white or milk chocolate ganache. The finishing touch is a covering of  fondant icing, giving your cake a flawless finish.

FLAVOURS

Madagascan vanilla – Moist vanilla sponge, filled with vanilla buttercream & optional raspberry or strawberry preserve.

 

Decadent Chocolate – A rich chocolate sponge, filled with a gloriously chocolatey buttercream.

 

Luscious Lemon – A zesty lemon sponge, drizzled with lemon syrup and filled with lemon curd & lemon buttercream.

 

Rich Red velvet – Moist chocolatey red velvet sponge, filled with a cream cheese or white chocolate buttercream.

 

Cookies & cream – Our rich chocolate sponge filled with Oreo Cookies buttercream.

 

Cheeky Carrot – A rich, moist carrot sponge with chopped walnuts & spices, filled with a cream cheese or white chocolate buttercream.

 

Strawberries & Cream – A light strawberry sponge filled with strawberry or white chocolate buttercream & strawberry jam.

 

Salted caramel – A moist vanilla sponge, filled with a layer of rich salted caramel sauce & delicious salted caramel buttercream.

 

Baileys – A baileys soaked chocolate sponge, sandwiched between 2 layers of Bailey's sponge, filled with chocolate baileys buttercream and white chocolate chips.

 

Whiskey & Dry – A rich, moist ginger sponge filled with a whiskey laced buttercream.

 

Tiramisu – A vanilla sponge, lightly soaked in coffee & cognac, filled with rich mascarpone buttercream mixed with chocolate shavings.

 

Luxury Fruit cake – This is a dense, moist cake, packed with fruits from the vine, nuts and cherries, soaked in brandy. Wrapped in marzipan and covered with fondant icing. The cake is best ordered at least 6 months in advance.

 

Light fruit cake – Like it's big brother, this fruit cake is still packed with all the vine fruits, nuts and cherries but is a lighter cake. Can be made with or without the brandy and can be ordered much closer to the event. Wrapped in marzipan and covered with fondant Icing.

Please note that all our cakes are cooked in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, wheat and gluten. For a full list of allergens please ask us before placing your order.

PORTION SIZES

With the exception of fruit cakes, we bake our cakes to be approximately 4 inches tall.  This consists of 3 layers of your choice of sponge, filled with 2 layers of your choice of buttercream.

 

Wedding cakes are usually cut into finger sized portions

1”x 1”x 4”

 

Celebration cakes  are usually cut slightly larger

1”x 2” x 4”
